Using Cheat Codes
You can enter cheat codes in "The Sims: Castaway Stories" at any time during the game's free play mode. When you are playing "Shipwrecked and Single," the story mode, you must first complete the storyline without cheating before you can use cheat codes. To bring up the cheat command console, press "Ctrl," "Shift," and "C" on your keyboard after you've loaded a lot. The cheat command console does not work when you're in the "Neighborhood" screen. Press "Esc" on your keyboard to exit the cheat command console once you are finished entering the cheats.
Free Money Cheats
Your Sim requires money to purchase materials for building a home or to buy items for the home. Enter the code "kaching" to earn $1,000 automatically. If you need a greater amount of money, enter the code "motherlode" to earn $50,000 for your Sims. If you require even more money, re-enter these codes to build up the amount of equity you need.
Controlling Pets and Keeping Bugs
"The Sims: Castaway Stories" allows your Sims to befriend island animals as pets. They can also collect bugs from the island in jars. Type in the code "boolprop controlPets 1" to be able to to take direct control of a pet. If your pet is about to do something you don't want it to do, enter "boolprop controlPets 1" to be able to cancel your pet's actions. Type the code "bugJarTimeDecay off" and the bugs that your Sims catch will live forever.
Breaking the Game Rules
Some cheat codes allow you to bend or break the rules set by the game. Type in the code "aging off" and your Sims will never get old. In a community lot, type the code "boolProp dormSpecificToolsDisabled false" to be able to use building objects that would normally be disabled. Type in the code "boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation 1" to be able to place objects at a 45 degree angle. To deactivate any cheat, retype the same code but change either the "off" to "on," the "1" to "0" or "false" to "true," respectively.
