How to Run Sacred on a Netbook

The video game "Sacred" is an action-oriented role playing game, set in a fantastical world overrun by monsters. Given the action-packed nature of the game, it is perfect to pick up and play whenever you have a bit of free time. This makes it ideal to play on an ultra-portable netbook. If you are interested in playing "Sacred" on your netbook, your computer must meet the minimum system requirements and run the Windows XP or later.

  • External DVR-ROM drive with USB Cable

Instructions

      Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the back of the external DVD-ROM drive.

      Plug the other end of the USB cable into a free USB port on your netbook.

      Turn on your netbook and allow it to load Windows. When Windows fully loads, it will automatically detect the external DVD-ROM drive and place an icon for it under "My Computer."

      Press the eject button on the external DVD-ROM drive and place the "Sacred" game disc on the DVD tray. Press the eject button again to close the DVD tray.

      Launch the game by right-clicking on the drive's icon in "My Computer" and selecting "Autorun" or wait for the game to automatically launch its installer utility.

      Follow the onscreen instructions to install the game onto your hard drive. The game requires 2000 Megabytes of free hard drive space. When it finishes, the install utility will state that the game is now installed.

      Press the "OK" button. The game "Sacred" is now ready to be played.
