How to Loot in Dwarf Fortress

Bay 12 Games released a high-fantasy city-building and rogue-like game, "Slaves to Armok II: God of Blood Chapter II: Dwarf Fortress," in 2006 after four years of development. In this game, you can build cities starting with seven dwarfs and as many supplies as your cavern can carry, or you can play as a character in adventure mode. Once you defeat an enemy in adventure mode, you can loot his items for yourself.

Instructions

  Walk on the square where your opponent died. Most of his loot will be on his body, but he may have dropped some during the fight. In this case, you must walk onto the square where the loot is on the ground.

  Press "G." This opens a list of your opponent's loot.

  Press the forward slash (/) to scroll down the list if there are many items. Press the asterisk (*) to scroll back up.

  Locate the loot you wish to grab. A letter from the alphabet precedes each loot. For example, an opponent's loot list may read as follows:

  c. silver hammer

  Press the letter that precedes the loot you want. For example, press "B" to take the flask off the opponent's body from Step 4.
