This online platform initially started as a method for connecting "Warcraft" players and quickly grew into Blizzard's primary account system, serving as the backbone for "World of Warcraft," "StarCraft" and "StarCraft 2." If you own a copy of "Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition," you will need the CD key to register the product.

     Open your "Warcraft II" box and separate the included materials. You should have a game disc and manual. If any of these supplies are missing, return the game to the retailer.

     Examine the disc case for the CD-key. This registration code should be printed on a sticker on the case.

     Contact Blizzard customer support if your key is not present. You will need to send the CD case in as well as a $10 replacement fee.
