How to Power Up the Time Machine in Empire Earth

"Empire Earth" is the first in a series of real-time strategy game that focus on the militaristic aspects of empire-building, from resource gathering to amassing an army to conquering opposing civilizations. Players can wage war from the perspective of multiple civilizations, including the Russians, whose campaign involves time travel to undo a past mistake. Late in the game on the mission, "A Change of Heart," it's up to you to find a way to time-travel.

  • 2,000 iron
  • 2,000 wood
  • 1,000 stone
  • Transport ship
  • 20 Ares II units
  • 5 citizens
  • Molly
  • Molotov

Instructions

    • 1

      Click and drag your cursor over your military units, including Ares II units, citizens, Molly, and Molotov, to select them. Right-click the transport ship to direct them on board.

      Sail your transport ship to the shore of Cuba, which will be unpopulated. Click the command with the ship selected to unload your units.

      Select your citizens, click the "Time Machine" icon on your interface and place it in an easily defensible location. Move your Ares II units around the machine while the citizens build it.

      Defend the structure from enemy attacks (they come from the sea) while it charges slowly over time. Enemy Hyperions will show up as the charging time draws to a close, but these are easily dispatched by your units.

      Send Molly and Molotov next to the structure after it has finished charging to send them to the past and complete the level.
