How to Record in COD: WAW

The only thing more satisfying that earning a difficult victory or demolishing a skilled opponent is having a record of that accomplishment you can watch at any time. Video capture capability is built directly into "Call of Duty: World at War," meaning you can record videos without third-party software and the system resources they often hog. To record in "COD: WAW," you will need to make a quick change in the options menu.

Instructions

    • 1

Start "COD: WAW" and let it load to the main menu.

    • 2

Click "Options" and find the check box marked "Enable Console."

    • 3

Click this check box and save your options. From here, enter a multiplayer lobby or single-player mission.

    • 4

Open the console by hitting the tilde key. Type "/record myvideo," where "myvideo" represents whatever filename you wish to use.

    • 5

Open the console again and type "/stoprecord" to finish the video capture.

    • 6

Find your video in the "Call of Duty" folder, usually located somewhere like "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty."
