The mining skill in World of Warcraft plateaus at certain amounts of skill points. To earn more than 300 skill points, a character must advance from the Artisan Mining skill to the Master Mining skill. Master Mining allows a character to mine mid-level mineral nodes, such as cobalt and adamantite. It also, when maxed, allows the character to smelt six new ores. Characters can learn Master Mining at Level 40 from a mining trainer.
