How to Tell How Much DPS You Have in World of Warcraft

Blizzard released the massively multi-player online role-playing game, "World of Warcraft" for the computer in 2004. You can play as one of 10 classes. Depending on which class you pick, you may exclusively deal in one of three types of damage: melee, ranged or spell. Melee damage is close-quarters contact combat, ranged damage includes distant gun or archery combat, and spell damage is dealt when casting spells. You can see how much damage you deal per second, or DPS, in your character sheet.

Instructions

    • 1

Open "World of Warcraft" and load the character whose DPS you wish to check.

    • 2

Press "C." A dialog box pops up with your current character's portrait.

    • 3

Click the small arrow on the left of the box. A side panel juts out listing various stats.

    • 4

Scroll down to the section appropriate to your class. Warriors, death knights, paladins and rogues exclusively deal in melee. Warlocks, mages and priests exclusively deal in spell damage. Hunters exclusively deal in ranged damage. Shamans and druids deal in both melee and spell damage.

    • 5

Locate the number beside "DPS" under your category. This number is the average amount of damage you deal to an enemy using an attack under that category.
