Instructions for the PC Game Civil War: A Divided Nation

The History Channel teamed with Activision to produce "Civil War: A Nation Divided," a first-person shooter. As either a Confederate or Union soldier, you can participate in 12 of the most famous battles of the Civil War, including Gettysburg, Antietam and Bull Run. A brief video plays before each battle, revealing pertinent historical facts to the player. For historical accuracy, the process of reloading a weapon can last several seconds. The player achieves victory by completing the mission objectives and staying alive through each battle.

Instructions

  Move the mouse to look around. Press "W" to move forward. Press "S" to move backward. Press "A" to strafe left. Press "D" to strafe right.

  Press "C" to toggle your stance. Press "Space" to jump. Press "E" to interact with the environment or to use an object. Press the hyphen key ("-") to zoom out.

  Move the mouse wheel, or press the "1" or the "0" key to scroll through your weapons. Click the right mouse button to aim down the gun sight. Click the middle mouse button, or press "R," to reload the weapon.

  Click the left mouse button to perform a primary attack. Press "Q" to perform a melee attack. Press "G" to throw a grenade.

  Press "Tab" to view mission objectives. Press "Esc" to display the pause menu.
