How to Get the Omnivore in Each Phase on the Spore Game

Activate the Game. Navigate to the applications menu and double click on the "Spore" icon to turn on the game.

Create your creature in the cell stage. When you are given the option to make your single cell creature start out by giving it an herbivore mouth. Continue through the cell stage eating only vegetation and pay close attention monitor the DNA bar levels.

Go into the creature editor once you reach the DNA bar halfway point. Swap the herbivore mouth for the proboscis mouth, which allows you to eat both meat and vegetation. Continue through the cell stage while only consuming meat until your DNA bar is ready to continue to the next stage in your creatures evolution.

Evolve into the creature stage. After your DNA bar reaches the full point in the cell stage, press the evolve button, and design your creature to adapt to the next stage in its evolution. When you are given the option to choose an omnivore mouth, include in your creatures design and continue playing the game.

Monitor and balance your DNA bar. Continue playing through the creature phase of the game and do your best to consume an even amount of vegetation and meat. When your DNA bar is full, enter the creature editor, and evolve into the tribal stage of your creature's evolution.

Be as social as you are aggressive. During the tribal stage, interact with new tribes as they arise in the game. Socialize by playing music and offer gifts to other tribes to make allies. If some tribes are hard to please and they attack your tribe, defend your home.

Apply an even balance of peace toward other tribes and defensive aggression to protect your tribal family. Once your tribal progress bar is full, enter the creature editor, and evolve into the Civilization Stage in your creature's evolution.

Build your civilization through trading. When you enter the Civilization stage, build your city and interact with other cultures that arise by establishing trading agreements with each new city. When you purchase each new city, allow each culture to retain its original identity so you have an even access the different technologies. Once your Civilization progress bar is full, evolve into the Space Stage of your creature's evolution.

Explore the Galaxy as a Trader. Once you enter the Space Stage of your creature's evolution, explore the galaxy, interact with alien cultures and even purchase new star systems by trading with different space fairing species.
