How to Get Pokemon Quartz

"Pokemon Quartz" is an original "Pokemon" game created by a video game modder known only as Baro. The game is based on "Pokemon Sapphire," but features new Pokemon and characters, and a new region all created by Baro. If you want to experience this fan-made game, you'll have to download a few free programs first.

  Download WinRar if you do not already have it installed on your computer. You will need this to open up your "Pokemon Quartz" file.

  Download the Visual Boy Advance (VBA) emulator. VBA is an emulator that enables you to play console and handheld video games ROMs on your computer. You will need a VBA to play Pokemon Quartz. Once you have downloaded VBA, create a shortcut for it on your computer.

  Open your Internet browser and log onto DopeROMs, a website where you can download video game ROMs onto your computer. A ROM is a copy of a video game designed to be played on an emulator such as the VBA.

  Go to the top of the DopeROM's homepage and click on the "Search" bar. Type "Pokemon Quartz" in the "Search" bar and press the "ROM Search" button.

  Scroll down the page and click on the "Pokemon Quartz Final - (Ruby Hack).zip" link.

  Click on the "Download ROM" button located under the "Pokemon Quartz" box art. Click on the green arrow pointing down to the word "Download" to begin your download of "Pokemon Quartz."

  Select the "Save" file when the dialog box announcing your download pops up. You now have "Pokemon Quartz" saved to your computer. Create a desktop shortcut for "Pokemon Quartz" so that it is easier to find when you want to play it. When you start "Pokemon Quartz" you will be prompted to open your VBA. Open your VBA to begin playing.
