Location of Peacock Puzzle
The peacock puzzle is located on the lock of the chest you need to open in Victor's study. When you first click on the puzzle you see a fleeting image of the peacock that you need to reproduce. The puzzle will then mix up the segments of the picture. You'll need to rearrange the pieces by clicking on the four stars in the center of the picture. Attempt to maneuver the body of the peacock to the center of the picture and then move the rest of the pieces accordingly.
Solution Hints
If you are taking a while to finish the puzzle on your own, the game provides hints at the bottom right corner of the game screen. If you are still having trouble, restart the puzzle by backing away and reclicking the lock. Click the star at the top left of the puzzle three times, then click the star at the bottom right three times. After the third click, the chest will open and reveal your prize.
Reward Hints
Inside the chest, you will find a telescope. Leave the study with your telescope and head to Victor's bedroom and place the telescope on the tripod. Look through the telescope to reveal a clue that will be helpful for a puzzle you encounter later in the game. Find the clue in your Case File, where it's saved for later perusal.
Considerations
The inventory items and clues in your Case File coincide with other areas in the game as you progress. Something you find in the beginning of the game, such as the clue found with the telescope, you may not need until much later in the game. "Return to Ravenhearst" features a hint system in the bottom right of the screen that will show hidden items by lighting them.
