How to Kill the Queen in The Witcher

"The Witcher" is an action role-playing game created by Polish developer, CD Projekt, for the computer. The game's protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, is on a quest for revenge after the evil assassin, The Professor, steals valuable mutagens from the laboratory of his dwindling race of mutant hybrids, the witchers. When Geralt confronts the villain, a fight ensues but is quickly interrupted, as the floor collapses beneath them. The witcher then finds himself surrounded by a race of insects, the kikimores, and their seemingly indestructible queen. Geralt cannot beat this baddie with a sword, but he can still destroy the queen by utilizing the environment and a little magic.

Instructions

  Fall to the ground and destroy the wooden props upon regaining control of Geralt. Cast the Aard sign at the beam supporting the ceiling to destroy it. Move away from the structure to avoid getting squished by the falling rocks.

  Move forward and watch the cutscene. After you've been introduced to the Kikimore Queen, run past the next beam you see. Turn around and cast Aard on the structure to break it. If you encounter the queen at random, stay far away from her; Geralt will die after a single blow.

  Fend off the kikimore workers and warriors that attack you. Equip Geralt's silver witcher sword to hurt your enemies. Standard swords are ineffective against monsters.

  Repeat the process of running past the wooden posts and destroying them with Aard two more times. If you struggle against the queen's subjects, apply Insectoid oil to your sword to increase the amount of damage you inflict.

  Run through the heart of the lair and dodge the queen. Breaking the beams before reaching the central lair scares most of the kikimore away, but the queen remains. Race past the many wooden posts within the room, head toward the only exit and prepare to cast one last spell.

  Turn around and cast Aard on the posts. Although the room contains many support beams, one spell will do the trick. The entire ceiling will now cave in, and you will witness the death of the Kikimore Queen.
