Instructions
Dig to the lowest depths in "Minecraft." Get a head start by exploring the surface until you encounter a cave that leads deep underground. Craft pickaxes and shovels made from stone and sticks, and dig your way downward once you reach a dead end. You will eventually reach lava.
Create an iron pickaxe with iron ore. As you explore underground, keep an eye out for iron ore deposits. Use your pickaxe to retrieve the ore, and smelt it in a furnace fueled by coal. Create a furnace by using eight blocks of stone with a workbench.
Save one iron bar and combine it with a piece of flint. Find flint by digging through dirt blocks. When you have these two materials, join them using a workbench to make a fire-starting flint and steel tool.
Explore deep underground until you encounter diamond deposits. Extract these rare materials with an iron pickaxe. You cannot obtain a diamond with a stone or wood pickaxe.
Craft a diamond pickaxe. Using a workbench, combine three diamonds and two wooden sticks. A diamond pickaxe is the only tool that can penetrate obsidian, a necessary ingredient for entering the Nether.
Pour water on lava to create obsidian. Transport water with a bucket crafted from three iron bars, and dump it onto lava by clicking the right mouse button. Break the resulting obsidian with your diamond pickaxe and collect it.
Create and gather more obsidian until you have fourteen blocks. Lie four obsidian blocks side-by-side to create the foundation of your portal to the Nether.
Stack four blocks atop the leftmost obsidian block. Do the same for the block at the right end of the portal's base to create a "U" shape.
Complete the frame by adding two more blocks side-by-side between the top blocks. Stand in front of the finished frame, and equip the flint and steel. Click the right mouse button to create a portal.
Jump into the center of the frame. Stand still, and you will be teleported to the hellish Nether realm of "Minecraft." Don't attack the zombie pigmen, and they won't bother you.
