How to Make Rides Completely Underground in Roller Coaster Tycoon

If you've built all the above-ground rides you can stand in "Roller Coaster Tycoon," you may be thrilled to find you can also build them underground. Aside from the variety this brings to your amusement park, underground rides prove ideal for rainy seasons when park guests gravitate toward in-door rides. Before building, understand that underground rides and roller coasters cost much more money to make than their above-ground counterparts. Also, since the maximum land height is 31 spaces high, your largest drop can't be higher than 29 spaces.

Instructions

    • 1

Find an unused spot of land to build your ride and dig down to the level you want your ride to start at, digging out just a few spaces. Place your ride's station platform in the hole, currently above ground.

    • 2

Plant the next station platform underground, directly next to the above-ground station platform. Remove the first station platform and raise the land back to your desired height.

    • 3

Build the ride as you would any other, only underground. When finished, connect the end of the ride to the other end of the station platform.
