If you do not have broadband Internet access, or if you're still dialing up from a landline, you may be frustrated that those with T-1, DSL or cable connections can download games, such as Electronic Art's "Spore Creature Creator" in a matter of minutes. Fortunately, this groundbreaking 3-D creature creator, released in 2008 for the PC and Mac, can still be purchased in box format at a local Best Buy or GameStop store. Those with sluggish Internet speeds can use online store locators. However, those deprived of an Internet connection must search a phone book to order the game, or check to see if it's in stock.

  Visit the Best Buy (bestbuy.com) or GameStop (gamestop.com) online store locator to find the telephone number and address of a nearby store.

  Call the store to determine the availability of the game. If no game is in stock, have a representative order one for you. Remember, a local used video game store may also have a copy.

  Pick-up the game and install it at home.

  Search the Yellow Pages for video game retailers. Although Best Buy and GameStop are the only national chain stores to carry the game, used video game stores may have the title in stock as well.

  Call every video game retailer listed in the Yellow Pages to determine availability and price information. You may have to order the game, if it is not already in stock.

  Pick-up the game and install it at home.
