Control Your Pets
Begin by holding "Control," Shift" and "C." A small bar will appear at the top of the window. This is where you will enter the cheat code. Type in: "boolprop ControlPets on" and hit the "Enter" key. Although your pets still have free will, they will perform any commands that you give them with total obedience. This will dramatically increase the rate at which you are able to train them. To turn the hack off, bring up the cheat bar again, type in "boolprop ControlPets off" and hit the "Enter" key.
Take Away a Pet's Free Will
Begin by clicking "Control," "Shift" and "C" to bring up the cheat bar. Type in "boolprop PetsFreeWill false" and hit the "Enter" key. This will prevent your pets from taking any action, including eating, without your command. This will dramatically increase the rate at which you are able to train them. However, unless you want to micromanage your pets, it is very important to turn the hack off when you are done. Otherwise, without your command, they will starve. To turn the hack off, bring the cheat bar back up, type in "boolprop PetsFreeWill true" and hit "Enter."
Hire a Trainer
If you want your pet to be trained without the hassle of doing it yourself, you can hire a trainer. However, this costs money. To get the necessary funds, bring up the cheat bar. Then, type in "kaching" and hit enter for 1,000 simoleans. To get even more, type in "motherlode" and hit enter for 50,000 simoleans. Once you have the money, click on the phone to call the trainer. He will charge a base rate of 25 simoleans and an additional 75 simoleans per hour.
Manually Improve a Pet's Skills
If you want to skip training altogether, there is a hack that will allow you to manually improve your pet's skills. Bring up the cheat bar. Next, type in "boolProp controlPets on." Select the pet you want to train so that it is the active character. Keep the pet active, but click on a nearby human sim while holding down the "Shift" key. Several options will appear around the Sim's head. Click on "Spawn," and then "More" and finally "Learned...cheat obj." A strange-looking object will appear on the floor. Double-check to make sure that the pet is still the active character; click on the object. Two options will appear. Both will allow you to modify certain behaviors, so choose the one that you prefer.
Next, select the behavior you wish to improve. Several more options will appear, including "Minimum," "Neutral" and "Maximum." To make your pet very well-trained, click "Maximum." Repeat this with every behavior you wish to modify. To get rid of the spawned object, simply enter buy mode, click on it and hit the "Delete" key. To turn the hack off, bring up the cheat bar, type "boolProp controlPets off" and hit "Enter."
