How to Watch a Demo That You Created in TF2

The replay update in "Team Fortress 2" added the ability for players to record matches while playing to examine later. This feature is toggled on and off by pressing the "F6" button on the keyboard. The replays created are not just a recording of what you are seeing. An entire demo of the match is created, allowing you to change camera angles, perspectives and focus as desired. This allows for a substantial amount of editing possibility. Demos created can be watched through the editing interface.

     Disconnect from the match after creating a demo. It is saved automatically without requiring any input beyond turning on replay recording during the match.

     Click "Replays" in the main menu.

     Click on the demo you want to watch. Each file is identified by the map, date and time it was created.

     Click the "Watch/Edit" button on the bottom of the screen.

     Press "Play" to start the demo. The "Rewind" and "Fast Forward" buttons can be used to more quickly move through the demo.
