How to Make a Bow in Minecraft Grid

"Minecraft" is a sandbox-style video game. The premise of the game is to craft items to survive attacks from various monsters known as mobs. These mobs only appear during the night, leaving you the entire day to craft weapons and shelter to protect from the nocturnal attacks. Crafting a bow is a great way to defend your character from night attacks while also maintaining a safe distance from the mobs.

Instructions

Making the Workbench

  Punch a Minecraft tree to harvest two logs. To punch, left-click on the block you want to harvest and hold until it breaks and falls to the ground.

  Walk over the log that is now on the ground. Doing so will automatically add it to your inventory.

  Click the letter "i" on your keyboard to open the crafting grid and inventory menu.

  Drag and drop the logs from your inventory to the crafting grid.

  Drag and drop the new pieces of wood from the right of the crafting grid into your inventory. Each log will produce four pieces of wood, thus giving you eight pieces of wood total.

  Drag and drop one piece of wood into each corner of the crafting grid. The result will be the workbench, which contains a larger grid for crafting more complex items, including your desired bow.

  Drag and drop the new workbench from the right of the crafting grid into your inventory.

  Click "i" again to close your inventory and crafting grid.

  Place the workbench on the ground by selecting it in your inventory and right-clicking the area you would like to place it.

  Open the workbench grid by right-clicking on it once it has been placed on the ground.
Collecting String

  Hunt for spiders in the forests and hilly areas of the "Minecraft" map.

  Kill two to three spiders. When they disappear, string will appear in their place.

  Walk over the string that is now on the ground. Doing so will automatically add string to your inventory.

  Repeat Steps 1 through 3 until you have three pieces of string.
Creating the Bow

  Drag and drop one piece of wood from your inventory into your workbench grid. Each piece of wood produces four sticks.

  Drag and drop the new sticks from the right of the crafting grid into your inventory.

  Drag and drop three sticks into the crafting grid. Place one in the second column in the top row, one in the first column in the middle row and one in the second column in the bottom row.

  Drag and drop three strings into the crafting grid. Place one in each row in the right column. A bow will appear to the right of the crafting grid.

  Drag and drop the bow into your inventory to use it to fend off attacking mobs.
