Creating and Setting a Guild Icon
Find a copy of the photo that you wish to use for your guild icon via an image search such as on Google Images or Yahoo! Images, or among your personal photos. Try to find a symbol related to the theme of your guild; the more the two overlap, the easier it will be for those not in your guild to identify you on sight. You will need to find a picture whose dimensions are 20 pixels wide by 20 pixels tall, or that can be edited down to that size without losing clarity.
Open the picture that you want to set as your "Rappelz" guild icon. Resize the picture to be no larger than 20 pixels wide by 20 pixels tall. It may be a good idea to first crop out white space, or things extraneous to the overall picture --- the smaller your image is before you resize it, the less its clarity will be degraded when you reduce its size.
Save your resized picture as a JPG file with a size of 50 KB or less. Use your editing program to save your file as a JPG via the "Save As" menu option, and set the save quality of the file to about 80% to allow yourself to shrink the overall filesize down to around 48 KB.
In "Rappelz," open up the guild management interface by bringing up the general guild menu using the shortcut "Alt + G." From there, click on the Management tab. Click "Look For," then navigate to your icon inside the dialog box that appears. Choose your icon, then click "Set as Icon." If all image parameters are met, as prescribed in the previous steps, your selected image will be set as your guild icon.
