How to Have Your Wife Move in With You on The Sims 3

"The Sims 3" offers players the opportunity to simulate real life using virtual characters known as Sims. Sims can do most anything a real-life person can do, such as fall in love, get married and start families. Although it is possible for your Sim to have a romantic relationship with another Sim that does not live in the same house, it is much easier to control an entire family of Sims if they share the same household. When your Sim asks his bride-to-be to get married, it is also a good idea to invite her to move in.

Instructions

  Click on the Sim you are in a romantic relationship with and select a few romantic social interactions such as "Kiss," "Flirt" and "Amorous Hug." Wait until you see the message pop up that your Sim is being irresistible and use the romantic social interaction "Propose." Your Sims will now be engaged.

  Click on your fiancee to select the "Have Private Wedding" option and quickly marry. The Sims will immediately be considered man and wife. Alternatively, you can click on your Sim to pull up his cell phone and throw a wedding party. Click on your Sims at any time during the wedding party to bring up the "Get Married" option. No matter how you get married, you will be taken to the household-transfer menu.

  Move the icon of your Sim wife over to your active household to move her over to your home. Press the confirmation button to complete this action.

  Click on the Sim wife after getting married to bring up the "Ask to Move In" option under the romantic social interactions. Use this option if you do not want to move her into your household immediately after the wedding.
