To Kill or Not To Kill?
There are two ways to approach a mission: stealthily or all guns blazing. While a middle ground may seem more sensible, it will cause you to miss out on bonus points. Make sure to check every room for every monster and kill them all; you will be rewarded with extra points. Go through the mission without killing a single enemy and you will also get bonus points.
Spells
Sorcerers and Wizards can only carry a certain amount of spells into a quest. Take Underwater Ability, Intelligence Boost and Feather Fall; these spells are useful in most missions. Damage spells work in all quests so always take these along too.
Hire Mercenaries
If you feel that your character is unsuited to a certain mission, you can always hire a Mercenary to the job instead. Don't just think of muscle-bound warriors; Mercenaries come in a wide selection, including Magicians and Clerics. You can hire a Mercenary from a vendor but their level must be lower than that of your own character. If a Mercenary dies, use the soul stone at the shrine to revive him.
Take It All
Playing through and finishing quests generates a good deal of your money, but this will only get you so far. Become a scavenger and collect every item you see. These may not be worth much individually, but gather enough of them and foraging can become your second income.
Selling
To make money from the items you have, you will need to sell. If you have any valuable or specialized items in your possession, take them to the brokers rather than the vendors as they will a pay more. For other items, bypass both the vendors and brokers and sell them straight to your fellow players. You may have no use for an item but somebody else could crave it, meaning they will pay handsomely.
