How to Change Starcraft 2 to Low Graphics

"StarCraft 2" is a fiercely competitive video game in which success if often determined by the number of actions per minute you can work into a match. Keeping up with your opponents requires a smooth-running game, and older computers may run into difficult processing the many simultaneous events that can occur in a heated online match. Lowering the graphics settings may help improve the game's performance and make it easier to stay competitive.

Instructions

    • 1

Load "StarCraft 2" and select the options menu from the main login screen.

    • 2

Click on the graphics tab to select graphics options.

    • 3

Set the texture quality, graphics quality, shaders, lighting, shadows, terrain and effects to the lowest level.

    • 4

Turn reflections off, set the unit portraits to 2D, and set the post-processing, physics and models to low.

    • 5

Click "OK" to save changes. You will need to restart the "StarCraft 2" client in order for the changes to take effect.
