How to Use the Skylands in Minecraft

Skylands is a custom-designed world in the "Minecraft" computer game, built by user TheBreakZus using the MCMapper, MCEdit and Omen utilities. The Skylands map is set where the name suggests (the sky) and it is a world full of different geographic regions and obstacles along the way. If you'd like to try Skylands, do so by downloading the save file and setting it up in your "Minecraft" folder.

Instructions

  Visit the GoonyGoon Skylands web page and click on the "Download Skylands" link to save it to your computer.

  Right-click on the folder once it has downloaded completely and select "Extract all" from the context menu. Follow the prompts in the wizard to extract the files.

  Rename the "World5" folder "world" and then delete the existing "world" folder in your own "Minecraft" server folder. Once deleted, click and drag the Skylands "world" folder into the "Minecraft" server folder.

  Double-click on the "Minecraft_Server" file in the folder where you dragged the Skylands "world" folder to start playing in the Skylands "Minecraft" map.
