How to Make an Active Baby in The Sims 2

"The Sims 2" allows players to create virtual avatars called Sims and customize everything about them, from the way they look to how they act. Choose to make your Sim active and he will like to work hard and frequently get out of the house to see the world. "The Sims 2" also features an extensive genetic system allowing Sims that mate together to produce babies that have traits from both of the parents. This allows active Sims to have active babies.

Instructions

At Character Creation

  Select the option to create a new Sim.

  Select the "Infant" age group for the Sim.

  Select the other traits for the baby Sim, including gender, skin tone and physical features. Once your Sim's look is completed, you will be taken to the Trait screen where you set your Sim's personality.

  Place at least five character points in the "Lazy/Active" section to set your Sim baby to be active. Use the rest of your character points however you want to complete character creation.

  Save your Sim baby. Since a baby cannot live by itself, repeat the character creation process to make at least one adult Sim for the household.
Giving Birth to an Active Baby

  Select one of your adult Sims that has five or more character points in the "Lazy/Active" trait. If you do not have any Sims that have the active trait, create a new one.

  Woo a Sim of the opposite gender that also has the active trait. To woo another Sim, click on the Sim and select from the positive social interactions available. Once the two Sims get along, move on to romantic social interactions until the other Sim finds your Sim attractive and the relationship is taken to the next level.

  Click on a twin-sized bed and select the "Relax" option. Once your Sim has settled into bed, click on the other Sim (the one of the opposite gender) and select the "Join" option.

  Click on your Sim once the other Sim is in bed to bring up additional romantic options such as "Cuddle" and "Kiss." Use these romantic social interactions until you have the option to "Try for Baby."

  Select "Try for Baby" and your Sims will go under the covers for a few minutes. If successful, the mother Sim will begin having morning sickness the next day and an icon of a baby pacifier with a question mark will appear over her head. After three in-game days, the mother will have the baby.

  Check the baby's traits from the character menu once he has been born to see if he is active. If not, you can try again with the same Sim or another that is more active.
