How to Remove the Midas Magic God for Oblivion

The "Midas Magic Spells of Aurum" mod for "The Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion" adds a new method for casting spells. You collect ingredients like gold nuggets and place them in a reactor to gain access to dozens of new spells, including the ability to summon creatures, control the weather and create portals to the planes of Oblivion. This mod comes in a self-contained file you can disable if you want to remove this feature from the game.

     Run "launcher.exe" from your game directory. The default directory is "c:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion."

     Click "Data Files."

     Uncheck the box next to "MidasSpells.esp."

     Click "OK." The next time you run your game it will not include the "Midas Magic Spells of Aurum" feature.
