How Do I Use a Parachute on Ace Mode in Armed Assault?

"Armed Assault" is a first-person and third-person shooter game for the PC, that has you combating invading armies, as they struggle to overtake each other. The game is compatible with several third-party mods that change everything from aesthetics to the capabilities of units. For the A.C.E. Mode mod, it adds several missions that allow players to participate in a parachute jump. However, you may have trouble using and controlling the parachute, once you are airborne.

Instructions

  Load a level that has you parachuting out of a plane. These sequences almost exclusively take place in the beginning moments of levels where parachuting is present.

  Use the A and D keys to steer your parachute left and right and the W and S keys to increase and decrease your speed, respectively. You will want to get to the ground quickly, while also avoiding enemy fire.

  Decelerate by pressing the S key, shortly before landing on the ground. Landing too quickly can cause serious or even fatal injuries for your character.
