How to Use the GTA Garage Mod Manager

There are a number of programs available for modifying aspects of PC-based video games. Players of the "Grand Theft Auto" video game series can use the GTA Garage Mod Manager (GGMM) to view in-game models of the vehicles and weapons featured in the game. The software is also capable of replacing these vehicles with fan-made vehicle and weapons models. The GGMM works for PC versions of "Grand Theft Auto III," "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."

Instructions

    • 1

Double-click the "GGMM" icon to open the GTA Garage Mod Manager. Click "Cars" to browse the in-game vehicles or click "weapons" to browse the in-game weapons models.

    • 2

Scroll through the list of models to the left of the screen. Highlight or type the name of the vehicle or weapon you wish to replace. The model will load on the main screen.

    • 3

Use the mouse to rotate the model on screen. Use the controls at the bottom of the screen to switch between normal and wire frame views of the models. You can also view "Low Quality" and "Damaged" variants of the model.

    • 4

Click "Installer" and select "Manual Mod Install" to install a new model. Click the icons to the right of the "DFF Model" and "TXD Textures" boxes. When the "Browse" dialog box appears, navigate to the new model's directory and select the "DFF" and "TXD" files, and then click "Open."
