How to Use World of Warcraft Through Ultrasurf

UltraSurf is a proxy service that is ideal for players who want to increase their connection speed or bypass a firewall that prevents them from using certain software and video games, such as "World of Warcraft." Anytime your computer attempts to connect to Blizzard's servers, the creator of "World of Warcraft," it accesses the connection through a specific series of ports. By utilizing a proxy service, you can use an entirely different set of ports which can bypass a firewall or, in certain cases, slightly increase the speed of your game connection.

Instructions

  Start the "UltraSurf" software. The program will connect to the proxy service and obtain a new IP address for you, allowing you to circumvent multiple firewalls. Your default browser will then be opened.

  Minimize your web browser. It is very important that you do not close the window, as it will disable the proxy service.

  Start your "World of Warcraft" software by double-clicking the desktop icon or inserting the game's disc. It will boot to the game's log in screen.

  Log into the game. The proxy service will allow you to bypass any firewalls and access the game's content.
