How to Use the Master Looter in World of Warcraft

The "Master Loot" option is a common method for loot distribution for large groups in "World of Warcraft." The group leader is the only person in the group who can loot items of a assigned value when Master Loot is turned on. This allows the group leader to decide who receives specific pieces of valuable gear and items. This can help a raid group ensure that a particularly rare weapon or armor piece goes to the correct player.

Instructions

    • 1

Form a group with at least one other player. The maximum number of players allowed in a raid group is 40.

    • 2

Right-click your character portrait, then click "Master Loot."

    • 3

Click the item value threshold for master looter. You will be the only person in the group able to loot rare or higher value items if you click the blue "Rare" option. Anyone will be able to loot an item value under the set threshold.

    • 4

Right-click a monster corpse to go to the loot screen.

    • 5

Click the item you want to distribute.

    • 6

Click the player you want to give the item to in the player list.

    • 7

Click "Ok" to give the item to the player. It will be automatically placed in the player's inventory if there is enough room.
