How to Assign Points to Train Your Pet in World of Warcraft

The hunter class in "World of Warcraft" is the master of both ranged weapons and feral beasts. Taming a pet from the wild is a rite of passage for any hunter, and the bond that is built between a hunter and his pet is more than skin deep. Hunter pets are given their own skill trees, and they receive skill points to spend in those trees every four levels. This allows the hunter to customize his pet to fill specific roles, such as damage dealing, tanking or a hybrid of the two.

     Log in to your "World of Warcraft" account and choose your hunter character.

     Press "N" on the keyboard to bring up your character's talent tree.

     Click the "Pet" tab located on the right-hand side of the talent menu.

     Click a non-greyed out talent box to place a point into that talent. As you spend points on the low level talents, you will open up higher level talents for your pet.

     Click "Assign Points" to assign the spent points to the chosen talents.
