How to Remove the Blur Around the People in The Sims

The virtual characters in "The Sims" are not real people, but they need their privacy when they bathe or use the toilet. A mosaic blur effect blocks the player from seeing any Sim nudity when doing these actions. You can remove the mosaic blur effect using cheat codes -- although doing so will not reveal any real nudity as Sim bodies lack all anatomical details and removing the blur is the video game equivalent of removing a doll's clothing. You must remove the item associated with the blur using cheat codes to remove the blur in the game.

Instructions

  Press and hold the "Alt" "Shift" and "Ctrl" buttons and then press the letter "C" on your keyboard while playing the game. This will bring up the cheat command console.

  Type the cheat code 'move_objects on' without the quotations to turn on the move objects cheat.

  Click on a toilet, shower or bathtub and have your Sim use the object. Wait until the Sim is using the object and you can see the mosaic effect.

  Enter "Build and Buy" mode from the menu.

  Select the item that is currently being used by the Sim and move it away from it's current position. The mosaic effect will move with it.

  Return to "Live Mode." Your Sim will continue the action as if the item was still there, however he will now be visible without the mosaic blur.
