Thought Process
Think outside the box when you search for objects. A "dog" on the search list could be an actual dog hiding in the level, a photograph or a small figurine. Think of all the possibilities. Keep in mind that the book takes place during the early 20th century -- your items are going to be what was appropriate for the time period. If a "guitar" is on the search list, do not look for an electric guitar from today's rock music, but one of an older style.
Examining the Evidence for Investigation 8
You need to examine the various pieces of evidence in investigation eight. Turn your sound up loud enough to hear it because when your magnifying glass gets close to something relevant or interesting, it will make a buzzing noise. If you really get stumped on your search, keep the glass still for a few seconds and a clue will turn up for you.
Rhyming
Rhymes are useful for solving some investigations, such as investigation six. Place each item next to the item that rhymes with it. Arrange the tiles so that they only touch rhyming items. Place tree, three and knee next to the bee, pail, grail and nail next to the snail, the frog, log and hog next to the dog and the cook, hook and rook next to the book to go to the next investigation.
Rosary Beads
You need to re-arrange the beads in investigation eleven to place the beads in alphabetical order to move to the next round. The symbols need to be in alphabetical order, beginning with "A" and moving counter-clockwise around the circle.
Underlining
If you read a clue with underlined words, you need to click and drag the items related to the underlined words around the screen to solve the clue. One clue, which says "ducks in a row," needs you to drag ducks two, three and four in order between ducks one and five. A clue that says "Roses" requires you to drag the roses on screen into the vase.
