How to Get to Go Back From the Last Level in Stalker

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl" is a first-person shooter for the PC that has a lengthy single-player campaign. The story has a main quest that follows the aftermath of the historic Chernobyl event, except with a narrative in which the consequences of the meltdown were far more catastrophic. Because of story reasons, players will not have an opportunity to play their game after completion of the last level. Thus, you will have to go out of your way if you want to complete any remaining side-quests.

Instructions

  Leave the area of the last level. The last level is very hostile and features many enemies. To create a backup save, you must be in a safer area.

  Create a new save game file by clicking "Save Game" from the main menu. Instead of overwriting your current save, rename the save file and click "Save."

  Complete the game's final level. Upon completion, the credits will roll and you will be returned to the main menu.

  Load your saved game from the main menu to return to the spot you were in shortly before the final level was completed.
