How to Make Akatsuki in Sims

"The Sims 2" is a life simulation video game for the PC, Mac and several consoles. Players using the PC version can install mods, which add new features to the game. One type of mod gives the player the ability to create avatars that resemble characters from pop culture, such as the criminal organization Akatsuki from the anime and manga "Naruto." The Akatsuki are the main antagonists in multiple seasons of the series, and they consist of five S-class martial artists. Since "The Sims 2" supports mod installation, installing the Akatsuki mod is a straightforward process.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the "Akatsuki Mod" webpage and download all of the textures, including both clothes and skins. Additionally, download the meshes "Ponytail mesh for Men" and "Male semi-long hair."

    • 2

Unzip the mod files. Windows 7 has a native unzipping program. If you're using an earlier OS, download and install a third-party program such as 7-Zip or jZip --- both of which are free.

    • 3

Drag and drop the contents of the mod files into your "The Sims 2" override directory. By default, it's located at "\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads."

    • 4

Double-click on files ending with ".Sims2Pack," such as "saso v2.Sims2Pack." A window will pop up asking if you want to mod your game. Click "Install" to complete installation. Files ending with ".package" will be automatically applied to your game so long as they're in the override directory.

    • 5

Start "The Sims 2" and create a new character. Scroll through the presets until you find one that looks like a member of Akatsuki. Use his avatar to complete the character creation process. Repeat this process until you've created an avatar for each of the members of Akatsuki.
