The settlement of Megaton in the game "Fallout 3" surrounds a large, dormant atomic weapon. Lucas Simms, the town's sheriff, will ask your help in permanently disabling the bomb. Yet you have another option as well. You can detonate the bomb, destroying the town and killing scores of innocent people. Taking this step reduces your karma by 1,000, removes a useful location and cuts you off from several side quests. But it earns you some money, gets you a suite at Tenpenny Towers and, perhaps most importantly to players, creates an impressive explosion.

Enter Moriarty's saloon during business hours.

Turn right after passing through the front door. Mr. Burke, a man in a hat and sunglasses, will be sitting in a chair in the corner.

Talk to Mr. Burke. He will quickly introduce the idea of destroying the town.

Continue talking to him, making sure not to choose the "You're a sick man" option. He will try to convince you to detonate the bomb, launching the quest.
