How to Increase Aion Attack Speed

Attack Speed is an important attribute for "Aion Online" characters built to inflict melee damage. Attack Speed is inherent to each weapon type and is expressed as the time delay between attacks: a weapon with an attack speed of 1.2 is faster than a weapon with an attack speed of 1.5. You can modify your attack speed in a variety of ways, such as using weapons with low attack speed values like daggers and swords, equipping weapons and gloves with attack speed modifiers and using skills and scrolls that boost your attack speed.

Attack Speed Tips

  Equip light one-handed weapons like daggers, swords and maces. Daggers have a base attack speed of 1.2, swords have a base attack speed of 1.4 and maces have a base attack speed of 1.5. Each class can only use specific weapon types, so use the fastest weapon available for your class.

  Look for weapons and gloves that provide attack speed modifiers. Weapons can increase your attack speed by up to 19 percent while gloves can increase your attack speed by up to 8 percent.

  Learn and use skills that boost your attack speed. Gladiators can learn "Blessing of Nezekan" and "Zikel's Threat"; Assassins can learn "Flurry"; and Chanters can learn "Word of Wind." Blessing of Nezekan, Zikel's Threat and Flurry increase your attack speed by 20 percent for 30 seconds while Word of Wind will increase the attack speed of you and other group members by 20 percent for 5 minutes. The magnitude of the skill's effects will vary from their base values based on your current character level, equipment and other factors.

  Use Courage Scrolls when you are about to enter combat. Courage Scrolls temporarily increase your attack speed and are available in three levels. Lesser Courage Scrolls increase your attack speed by 3 percent, normal Courage Scrolls increase your attack speed by 6 percent and Greater Courage Scrolls increase your attack speed by 9 percent.

  Change your title to one that gives bonuses to your attack speed. You can change your title by accessing the Profile window and selecting a title from the Titles tab. You unlock titles by completing special quests, and each title provides you with a unique set of bonuses, including a 2 percent attack speed bonus. Titles that increase attack speed include Provocateur, Heroic, Fenris's Fang, Veritas Agent and Miragent Holy Templar.
