Death Knight
Death Knights are a class specific to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and are strong damage dealers with 57 abilities available. Within their ability list, they have melee options, spells and diseases that damage enemies over time. Different development options such as Blood and Frost include their own special abilities, Blood catering to self-healing abilities, while Frost causes significant damage to enemies. A special ability specific to the Death Knight is Runeforging, which is used for enchanting weapons. Their master abilities include Life Shield, Frozen Heart and Blightcaller.
Druid
Druids harness the powers of nature to give them powers and have a variety of abilities compared with other classes. Druid abilities include healing, long-range attack, melee and tank (defense). Special abilities of the Druids include shapeshifting magic like the Bear Form, which provides armor, health and damage mitigation. Other special abilities are Flight Form, which allows for flying travel, as well as their own class-specific teleportation. Druids have 76 different abilities in all, and their ability masteries are Total Eclipse, Savage Defender, Razor Claws and Symbiosis.
Hunter
Hunters have 72 different abilities and are nonmagic long-range damage dealers. Their long-range damage abilities can damage, debuff and incapacitate enemies. Specific to Hunters is the Beast Mastery ability, which allows them to tame a pet to aid them in combat situations. They have special access to exotic beasts that aren't available to other classes. Ability masteries available to hunters include Master of Beasts, Wild Quiver and Extreme Survival.
Mage
Mages have 78 abilities that are heavily magic-based and cause long-range damage, cause damage to multiple enemies in a wide area, neutralize enemies and facilitate teleportation. An ability specific to the mage is Conjure Refreshment, which restores an ally's heath and magic power. Hunters also have the ability to create portals to transport other players from one area to another. The ability masteries available to the mage include Mana Adept, Flashburn and Frostburn.
Paladin
A Paladin's abilities cater to defense, melee damage, healing and power enhancement with a total of 56 abilities in all. In order to cast highly effective magic, Paladins can use the Holy Power ability to enhance damage dealing spell abilities like Templar's Verdict or Word of Glory. Along with multiple status buff abilities, the Paladin has access to the Divine Shield ability, which is the only invulnerability spell available in the entire game. Mastery level abilities available to the paladin include Illuminated Healing, Divine Bulwark and Hand of Light.
Priest
The Priest, like the mage, is a class with mainly magic abilities and uses 46 abilities to heal, cause ranged magic damage, improve defense and manipulate enemies. Some of their most useful abilities include the Circle of Healing, which heals multiple players at once; Power Word: Shield, which has significant defensive properties; and Shadowform, which causes an increase in the power of their offensive spells. The specialization masteries available to the priest are Shield Discipline, Echo of Light and Shadow Orb Power.
Rogue
Rogues have 45 abilities that provide them with boosted stealth, melee offensive capabilities, improved evasion and quick speed. The Stealth ability allows for Rogues to remain unseen by most enemies, while their ability to poison weapons allows them to debilitate targets. Other abilities like Pick Lock and Detect Traps make them highly advantageous even outside of a battle scenario. Masteries available to the rogue include Potent Poisons, Main Gauche and Executioner.
Shaman
Shamans have 64 abilities that use a combination of physical attacks and magic in order to heal, use melee with elemental enhancements, cause ranged damage and cast buffs. The ability to summon totems allows a Shaman to provide the most potential buffs to a party. Some of their more eccentric abilities include Feral Spirit, which allows them to summon a pair of wolves to help them in a battle; Mana Tide Totem, which casts a totem that aids in the party's magic restoration; and Ghost Wolf, which allows Shamans to turn into a wolf in combat. Their ability to cast elemental shields like Lightning Shield and Earth Shield helps with the party's defense. Specialization masteries for the Shaman are Elemental Overload, Enhanced Elements and Deep Healing.
Warlock
Warlocks practice demonic arts, and their 64 abilities allow them to cast curses and drains, deliver ranged magic damage, empower their spells, train demons as pets and heal. Some of their special abilities are Ritual of Summoning, which allows them to summon a character to a portal location, and Healthstones, which allows them to create stones with a healing capability. Curse abilities like Curse of the Elements and Curse of Tongues allow them to debuff enemies. The specialization masteries for a Warlock include Potent Afflictions, Master Demonologist and Fiery Apocalypse.
Warrior
The Warrior has a total of 50 abilities that are only physical and give significant powers to defend and cause melee damage. Special abilities for the warrior include Titan's Grip, which allows them to wield two two-handed weapons simultaneously; Rampage, which increases melee power for themselves and allies; and Intervene, which allows them to protect an ally or target from attack. Their stance abilities like Defensive Stance and Berserker Stance allow them to adjust their focus during combat in order to deal more damage or enhance their defense. The specialization masteries for a warrior are Strikes of Opportunity, Unshackled Fury and Critical Block.
