How to Use 360 Controllers on UT3

A keyboard and mouse isn't the only control option for fans of the PC first-person shooter "Unreal Tournament 3." Though many gamers prefer the traditional setup, some users are more comfortable using a standard Xbox 360 controller. SwitchBlade is a free application, downloadable through the free Xfire peer-to-peer gaming client, that allows PC gamers to sync an Xbox 360 controller to their system.

Xfire client

Instructions

  Download the Xfire installer (see the Resources section).

  Select the file "xfire_installer.exe" and click "Run" to install Xfire.

  Open Xfire. Download the SwitchBlade installer (see Resources). SwitchBlade will download into the Xfire client.

  Open the SwitchBlade file in the Xfire client.

  Connect the Xbox 360 controller to the computer's USB port.

  Open "Unreal Tournament 3" and select "Settings" to modify control settings once SwitchBlade has auto-detected the controller.
