How to Use the Love Potion on the Sims 2

In Sims 2, love potions make your Sim more desirable. They don't make Sims fall in love with other Sims, but they do make social interactions easier. A Sim that has recently drunk a love potion will be able to initiate higher level social interactions like kissing and woo-hooing with other Sims. In order to get the love potion, you need either the Seasons or the Nightlife expansion pack for Sims 2. Love potions don't last very long, so it is a good idea to prepare and have a target in mind before you take a drink.

Instructions

    • 1

Prepare your Sim by making sure he (or she) is well rested, fed and has all his needs satisfied. You don't want to have to waste your potion time by having to go to the bathroom or take a nap.

    • 2

Purchase love potions from the gypsy or make it by juicing two oranges and two cucumbers. You can call the gypsy on the telephone and invite her over; you must grow oranges and cucumbers in the garden.

    • 3

Store the juice in your inventory until you are ready. Juices typically stay in the juice machine and you cannot carry them around, but you can store love potions purchased from the gypsy for later.

    • 4

Initiate an outing or invite over a Sim you want to attract. If you don't have a target in mind, you can wait to make the juice or hang onto the gypsy love potion until you find one.

    • 5

Click on the juice (either in your Sim's inventory or in the juices) and have your Sim drink it. You will know it is working because your Sim suddenly has hearts and flowers around it.

    • 6

Click on the Sim you want to partner with and be social. Love won't come instantly, but the other Sim will have a more positive reaction to any social activities you initiate. The chances of being rejected for a social activity will also decrease.
