How to Update GMod

"Garry's Mod" is a game built on the Source engine and, like other Source engine games, is sold through the Steam online content delivery service developed by Valve Corporation. Like all games available through this medium, "Garry's Mod" frequently has patches and other free updates with additional content. However, "Garry's Mod" won't install these by default. You must specify automatic updates in order to receive them.

     Open Steam. Log in to your Steam account.

     Locate "Garry's Mod" in your list of installed games.

     Right-click "Garry's Mod" and select "Properties."

     Click the "Updates" tab.

     Change the drop-down field to "Always keep this game up to date." Click "OK." Any available updates will now install automatically.
