How to Update Fear on Steam to 1.08

"F.E.A.R" was released for the PC in 2005, and added to the Steam digital distribution service in 2010. Like many PC games, "F.E.A.R" has been updated since release, with each patch fixing bugs, adding features and balancing online gameplay. The last official patch released for "F.E.A.R" was patch 1.08, released in 2006. The version that is downloadable on Steam is already version 1.08 -- all you must do is install the game after purchasing it to receive the most up to date version.

  Launch Steam by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.

  Click the "Library" tab. This tab is located at the top left corner of the Steam window.

  Click "F.E.A.R" in the list of games located on the left side of the screen.

  Click "Install" from the window on the right side of the screen.

  Click "Next" on each of the two windows. After the second window, Steam automatically installs "F.E.A.R."

  Click the "Play" icon on the "F.E.A.R" listing, under "Library," to begin the game. On the bottom of the main menu of the game is the version number, which is version 1.08.
