How to Install Gunnar Hero

"Gunnar Hero" is a computer game played like the "Guitar Hero" series of console games. The basic game play is the same as in the "Guitar Hero" series. Players select specific buttons on the keyboard that represent guitar frets. A song plays while a guitar fret board scrolls downwards on the screen. You must press the correct buttons at the correct time to play the guitar in time properly. Installing "Gunnar Hero" requires having an Internet connection as well as a program that will unzip .rar files for you. You can download the game from a number of websites.

  Download a program that is capable of unzipping .rar files. Download the installation file to your desktop.

  Run the installation program and follow the on-screen directions to install the .rar program. Set where you want the program to install as well the files with which you want it to associate. Select the "rar" file format as an associated file.

  Right click on your desktop and select "create new folder." Type "Gunnar Hero" in the text box to name your folder.

  Download the "Gunnar Hero" .rar file to your desktop. Double-click on it to start the unzipping program.

  Follow the on-screen directions of your unzipping program. Navigate to the desktop using the program's navigation bar. Select the "Gunnar Hero" folder you created earlier as your destination folder.

  Click the "unzip" button to move your game folders to your "Gunnar Hero" game folder.
