How to Recover a Hacked WoW Account

"World of Warcraft" is a role-playing game with well over 12 million subscribers as of June 2011. With such a large fan base, hacking is very prominent in the community. It is so common, in fact, that nearly all players without an authenticator on their account have been hacked at some point. If you suspect your account has been hacked, you must submit an in-game petition to Blizzard and await further instructions specific to your situation.

     Double-click the "World of Warcraft" icon, located on your desktop. Wait as the launcher appears on your screen.

     Click "Play" and wait for the game to load to the main menu.

     Log in to your "World of Warcraft" account.

     Enter any realm with any of your characters.

   • 5

     Click the red exclamation point on the lower left-hand corner of your screen. Fill out the form, providing detail on your account and why you think it may have been compromised.
