How to Get Chat on Toontown

Disney's ToonTown is an online game where players create and control a "Toon" that lives in a fictional animated world called ToonTown. You can play ToonTown on your browser for free. When you initially create an account to play, you have the option to select "SpeedChat" or "SpeedChat Plus," two different ways that you can communicate within the game world. If you opted for "SpeedChat," you may want to change your account to support "SpeedChat Plus," which allows you type in personalized words.

  Go to toontown.com in your browser.

  Click the "Membership" button, then click on "Account Manager" from the drop-down menu.

  Enter your account username and password into the available fields. Click "Login."

  Click the "Community Settings" tab. Click on the "SpeedChat Plus" option to place a checkmark next to it. A pop-up window will appear.

  Click the "Send Email Validation Now" button on the pop-up window. Click "OK."

  Check the email address associated with your "ToonTown" account and look for an email from "Disney Online Guest Serv" with the subject line: "Verify your email address."

  Open the email and click the "Click Here" link to activate SpeedChat Plus on "ToonTown."
