How to Get Better NPCs & Townies in The Sims

"The Sims 3" is a computer game in which you can create a family in a neighborhood of non-player characters (NPCs), or "townies." By default, nearly all of the homes in your neighborhood are occupied by families the developer created, and many have traits that make them unfavorable neighbors. However, in this game, you can edit the town and evict the unfavorable neighbors, replacing them with better families you've created.

Instructions

     Load the save game where you want to replace the townies.

   • 2

     Press "F5" and select "Edit Town."

   • 3

     Click any occupied neighbor's home and select "Evict." Anybody who was living in the house returns to the pool of NPCs.

   • 4

     Click on the family that you want to replace the neighbors. Click the now-vacant home to move them into the building.

   • 5

     Repeat the previous steps for all families you wish to replace.
