How to Kill Radscorpians in Fallout Nevada

"Fallout: New Vegas" is the 2010 semi-sequel to 2008's "Fallout 3," released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It has an 84 rating on Metacritic, and several storyline expansions in the form of downloadable content. Radscorpions are a mainstay of the "Fallout" series, which are gigantic, irradiated, man-sized scorpions that tend to infest particular areas. Like many RPGs, you can approach combat with difficult enemies in a variety of ways.

Instructions

    • 1

Shoot from as far away as possible without being seen. While you are crouching, on screen indicators let you know whether or not you are hidden. If you score a hit while hidden, you get a damage multiplier for sneak attacks that often kills an enemy instantly, depending on the player's level.

    • 2

Use explosives, especially mines and frag grenades while approaching the Radscorpion. Insect-type enemies with hard carapaces are usually weak to explosion damage.

    • 3

Attack with melee weapons while circle-strafing or backing away continuously. This is the fastest way to kill these enemies, but more risky since you will be close enough to be hit by the stinger. A melee-oriented character can kill a Radscorpion in one or two hits.
