How to Swipe Something on Sims 3

"The Sims 3" is an iteration of the series that introduces numerous features not previously present in past games. For example, now your Sims can steal items from community lots and the homes of unsuspecting neighbors. Sims can steal other people's belongings only when they have the kleptomaniac trait, and you cannot pick the specific object you want your Sim to swipe. Rather, the game selects the object randomly within a small radius surrounding your kleptomaniac Sim.

Instructions

  Create a kleptomaniac Sim if you do not have one. To do this, click "Create Sims" on the main menu and click the tab with the diamond icon. Double-click "Kleptomaniac" in the list of traits located on-screen. Continue creating your Sim as desired.

  Load a save game with a kleptomaniac Sim.

  Click your Sim's icon to activate him.

  Travel to a community lot or ask to visit a neighbor Sim. You can steal any object outside a lot, but your Sim must be invited inside before he can steal objects from inside another house.

  Click your Sim while standing near objects you want him to steal. A radial menu will appear over his head.

  Click "Steal Items." The object your Sim steals depends on how far away it is and whether the randomizer selects it.
