How to Remove SecuROM Titan Quest

SecuROM is a copyright protection software that is commonly bundled with the installation of computer video game trials. When the free-to-play trial version of the game "Titan Quest" is installed onto a computer, SecuROM is installed as well. However, when "Titan Quest" is uninstalled from a computer SecuROM is not automatically removed along with it. To remove SecuROM from a computer completely, you can use the SecuROM Removal Tool. This program deletes all of the component files of SecuROM, as well as game activation codes and licensing information.

Instructions

  Log into Windows as the user for which SecuROM is installed.

  Uninstall Titan Quest if you have not already done so.

  Download the SecuROM Removal Tool to your computer. See Resources for a download link.

  Unzip the SecuROM Removal Tool to a location on your computer's hard drive.

  Open the "SecuROM Remover.exe" file.

  Read through and accept the End User License Agreement.

  Review the SecuROM files that are displayed by the SecuROM Remover Tool after accepting the license agreement. Note that the remover tool will remove all SecuROM files, including those for games other than Titan Quest.

  Agree to delete the files listed by the SecuROM Remover Tool. They will be removed from your computer permanently immediately after selecting "Agree."
