How to Set Up for a Joy-to-Key for Soldier Front

JoyToKey is a software used to port keyboard controls for computer games such as "Soldier Front" to the buttons of a joystick or controller. Rather than relying on the keyboard control scheme designed by Soldier Front's developers, you can use JoyToKey software to control the game however you please. Since "Soldier Front" has 21 keys of the keyboard assigned to various actions, you will want to have a controller with an equivalent number of buttons when porting the game's controls.

  Download JoyToKey onto a computer that has "Soldier Front" installed.

  Plug your USB controller into a USB port on your computer.

  Open JoyToKey.

  Press a button on the USB controller to highlight the button's number in JoyToKey.

  Press the key of your keyboard that you would like to assign to the controller button that was pressed in the last step. For instance, press the spacebar to assign the jump function in "Soldier Front" to the selected controller button.

  Click "OK."
